A globally-minded Nigerian film producer, line producer, and production manager whose career spans over two decades of working across high-profile projects on local and international stages bridging the vibrant pulse of Nollywood with the precision and scale of international cinema. Renowned for his mastery in budgeting, cost reporting, and the use of industry-standard production tools and project delivery to international standards, JAMIU has become a trusted name in the African film and media space.

Jamiu’s creative philosophy is rooted in structure, innovation, and social impact. His impressive portfolio includes contributions to acclaimed international titles such as Hasta El Cielo (Netflix Spain), The Brave Ones (Netflix South Africa), La Unidad (Movistar+), and The Black Book (Netflix Nigeria). He has collaborated with visionary directors including Akin Omotosho, Wang Bing, Ishaya Bako, and Daniel Calparsoro. His recent work on Lady—directed by Olive Nwosu and supported by BFI/Film4—further solidifies his footprint in global cinema.

As a co-producer/line producer on The Odds, In the Shadows of Good Fortune, and I Do Not Come to You by Chance, Jamiu has helped shepherd projects that have earned critical attention at prestigious festivals such as the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, and BlackStar Film Festival. These achievements underscore his deep understanding of cross-cultural narratives and the complexities of multi-location productions across Africa and Europe. His documentary work with Spotify, WhatsApp LA, and Partizan Entertainment (LA)—screened at Sheffield DocFest, Durban FilmMart, and Encounters South African Documentary Festival—highlights his versatility with global brands and digital platforms.

Beyond film, Jamiu is deeply committed to community development, youth empowerment, and service within the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria. He has served in various strategic and developmental capacities within the Society—supporting programme planning, committee initiatives, Islamic education drives, youth mentorship activities, and community-strengthening projects. His involvement reflects his belief that faith, discipline, and purposeful leadership are essential tools for building future generations.

As a youth development advocate, Jamiu actively mentors emerging filmmakers and young professionals, offering guidance in creative discipline, technical skill, ethical leadership, and personal development. His passion for nurturing young talent aligns with his broader mission of helping African youths realize their potential and take their place in global creative spaces.
